Save the Words!!

For a fun learning experience, and a little bit of extra credit, do the following:
  1. Listen to this story from NPR about words that are no longer in the dictionary.
  2. Go to the  website savethewords.org and choose a word you want to adopt.
  3. In the comments section below tell us what your word is and why you chose it. Don't forget to use your first name so I can give you credit!
That's all you need to do to receive extra credit.....

but there's more!!!!  Our second writing contest will be to write an amusing story about your attempt to use on of these poor, abandoned words.  It can be true, exaggerated or completely fictional.  I will put up an entry form in a few days.
